Extend your videos with AI.

Let the walk continue. Give the camera another moment. Take a video you made in Moonlight and describe what happens next—then keep it all in one longer clip.

  • Add 5, 10, or 30 seconds
  • One joined 720p video
  • Your original stays yours
Extend a video

Start with a finished video in Creations. New here? Animate a photo first.

How to extend a video.

  1. Open the video you want to continue.

Go to Creations and open a finished Moonlight video in Quick Look. Select Extend video beneath the player. If you are starting with a photo, animate it first in Create → Video.

  2. Describe the next moment.

Write what happens after the current ending. Choose 5, 10, or 30 extra seconds, then check the new total length and credit cost before selecting Extend.

  3. Keep the longer take.

The original clip and new footage arrive together as a new video in Creations. Review the transition, download the MP4, or extend the new version again. Your original stays available.

Write the next moment, not the whole scene.

Build on the clip’s final movement. One clear action and a consistent camera direction give the continuation a focused brief. Adapt these prompts to your video.

Let an action finish

Continue as he takes two more steps along the platform, then looks toward the arriving train. Keep the same pace, outfit, and night lighting.

Give the camera more time

Keep tracking beside the subject as she reaches the terrace. Gradually reveal the sea beyond her, maintaining the same camera height and warm evening light.

Find a quieter ending

Continue the breeze through the curtains as she settles into stillness. Hold the current framing and let the movement ease naturally to a pause.

Check the join before sharing. A person’s appearance, small details, and motion can change between the original and generated footage.

A longer take. A clear price.

Extension uses credits for both the source context and the new footage. Context is capped at the last 30 seconds, even when your video is longer. The total is shown before you start.

10s283774

For example, a 10-second video plus 5 extra seconds becomes a 15-second video for 28 credits. Your original remains available.

Extensions use your credit balance; animation gifts apply to making a video from an image. Compare credit packs and plans.

A little more to know.

What does an AI video extender do?

It generates new footage that continues from a clip's ending, guided by your prompt. Moonlight joins that continuation to the original video. This adds new action to the scene, rather than repeating the same frames or slowing the clip down.

Can I upload any video to extend it?

Extension currently works with finished videos in your Moonlight Creations. Direct video uploads are not supported. To start with your own material, upload a photo, animate it, then extend the resulting video.

How much longer can I make my video?

Add 5, 10, or 30 seconds per extension. You can extend a completed extension again, including videos already longer than 30 seconds. Each request shows its total duration and price before you start; very large outputs may reach the service's file-size limit.

How much does video extension cost?

The cost depends on your source video and the added duration. Adding 5 seconds to a 5-second clip costs 19 credits; adding 5 seconds to a 10-second clip costs 28 credits. Pricing includes up to 30 seconds of source context. The studio shows the exact credit cost before submission.

Are video extensions free?

Extensions use your Moonlight credit balance. There is no free-extension allowance, and duration-specific animation gifts do not cover extensions. One-time credit packs and monthly plans are available on the pricing page.

Will the continuation match the original perfectly?

The model uses the ending of your video as context, but AI-generated motion and details can vary. Keep the next action consistent with the current scene and review faces, hands, camera movement, and the join before sharing. Each extension saves separately, so you can return to the original.

What format will I download?

Moonlight delivers a joined 720p MP4. The current workflow creates silent clips and does not add an audio track. Your videos and prompts are private to your account by default.

Does Moonlight use Seedance for video extension?

Yes. Moonlight uses ByteDance Seedance 2.5 through its video-extension pipeline. You choose the continuation and added time; Moonlight handles the model settings.
